Dr. Dylan Johnston completed his Doctor of Optometry at Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in Memphis, Tennessee, graduating with Cum Laude distinction. His training included a rotation at a private practice in Pennsylvania, an ophthalmology practice in Kentucky, and voluntary humanitarian trips to Colombia and Costa Rica. He enjoys working with specialty contact lenses and was awarded the 2021 GP Clinic Excellence award from the GPLI Institute.
Dr. Johnston was born and raised in Macklin, Saskatchewan, and earned his undergraduate degree at The King’s University in Edmonton, where he majored in biology and minored in chemistry and business administration. In his spare time, he enjoys curling, skiing, biking, hunting, fishing, and travelling. Dr. Johnston is excited to be moving closer to home and looks forward to providing care to Wainwright and its surrounding communities.
