Comfort & Clarity with Your Contact Lenses
Contact lenses can offer a flexible, comfortable alternative to glasses—and a less permanent option compared to laser eye surgery.
Since every pair of eyes is unique, we understand that there’s no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to contacts. Whether you’ve never worn contact lenses before or you’re looking for a new option, our team is here to help you find the right fit.
We also offer different specialty contact lens options for patients with unique vision needs. Let us help you find a solution that fits your lifestyle and keeps your eyes healthy. Contact us to schedule your appointment today.
How to Prepare for Your Contact Lens Exam
To make your contact lens exam as smooth as possible, here’s what to bring:
- Your Alberta personal health care card
- Your current glasses and sunglasses
- If you already wear contact lenses, please wear them to your appointment
- A list of any medications you’re currently taking
- Insurance information, if applicable
The Importance of a Contact Lens Exam & Fitting
A poorly fitted contact lens isn’t just uncomfortable—it can lead to eye irritation, vision problems, or even serious complications. That’s why a proper fitting is so important.
During your contact lens exam, we’ll take several measurements of your eye shape, evaluate your tear production, and discuss your daily habits and vision needs.
We’ll also provide a trial pair so you can see how the lenses feel during your regular activities, and we’ll teach you how to insert, remove, and care for them properly. Sometimes, it takes a little trial and error to find the perfect fit, but don’t worry—we’ll work with you to find a pair of contact lenses that are both comfortable and easy to wear.
Types of Contact Lenses
We Offer
The world of contact lenses has evolved significantly since their invention in 1887. Today, contacts come in a wide range of materials, types, and designs, making it easier than ever to find the right pair for your vision needs.
At Prairie Vision, our team helps fit contact lenses and can accommodate most prescriptions.
We offer a wide selection of contact lenses, including:
- Daily, bi-weekly, and monthly disposable lenses
- Rigid gas-permeable lenses
- Bifocal, multifocal, and monovision contacts for presbyopia
- Lenses designed to reduce eye strain
- Coloured contact lenses
We also offer specialty contact lenses for unique needs.
We offer myopia-control contact lenses to help manage and slow the progression of nearsightedness (myopia) in children and young adults. These specialized lenses are designed to reduce eye strain and encourage better long-term vision health.
With early myopia control, we can help reduce the need for stronger prescriptions as your child grows, giving them the opportunity to experience clearer vision while protecting their eye health.
Scleral contact lenses offer a solution for people with corneal irregularities, including corneal transplants, scarred corneas, and keratoconus.
These large-diameter lenses provide a stable, comfortable fit, creating a smooth surface over the cornea to improve vision. If you have been struggling with these eye conditions, scleral lenses may be the key to clearer, more comfortable vision.
If you have astigmatism or a unique prescription that makes finding the right lenses challenging, we’re here to help. We offer lenses that are designed to address these specific vision needs, providing you with clearer, more comfortable vision.
Whether you require toric lenses for astigmatism or other custom options, our team will work with you to find the perfect fit and solution for your eyes.

Trust Prairie Vision with Your Eyes
