Comfort & Clarity with Contact Lenses
Contact lenses are a more flexible alternative to glasses and a less permanent alternative to laser eye surgery. Contacts sit directly on the eyes, and since everyone’s eyes are different, there’s no one-size-fits-all option. If you’ve never worn contact lenses before, you’ll need an eye exam and fitting to ensure contacts will continue to keep your eyes clear and comfortable.
Our eye doctors in Wainwright and Vermilion provide comprehensive contact lens exams and fittings to provide you with a personalized solution based on your unique lifestyle, vision needs, and eye shape. If you’re interested in contact lenses, or if you currently wear contact lenses, please give us a call and schedule a contact lens exam.
The Importance of a Contact Lens Exam & Fitting
Poorly fitted contact lenses are more than just irritating. They can lead to vision disruptions, eye irritation, corneal infections, and other complications. To ensure your contacts are comfortable and custom-fitted to your eyes, we take several measurements of your uniquely-shaped eyes, evaluate your tear quality and quantity, and discuss your needs, lifestyle, and habits.
We’ll set you up with a trial pair of lenses so you can test your new contacts “in the wild” and we will show you how to insert, remove, and care for them.
The first choice isn’t always the best one, so you may need to try more than one contact lens to find something that works best for you. It’s essential you find a pair of contacts that you enjoy wearing and feel comfortable with.
